Fifteen's 5k is a 5k race through downtown Minneapolis. It is put on by Glen Perkins, a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins, to raise money for cystic fibrosis. This race is great because of two things. 1) It raises money for a very good cause.
2) The finish line is on the field of Target Field, the ballpark for the Minnesota Twins.

I really enjoyed this race because having been a resident of downtown Minneapolis a few years ago before moving out of the city, it was a great reminder of how nice the downtown area actually
is.

The race starts in Gold Medal Park adjacent to the Guthrie theater and winds its way through the city to finish on the field at Target Field. I have to say that running down that entrance ramp onto the field was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced as a runner.

I would definitely recommend this race to anyone looking for an above average and out of the ordinary 5k.
