Full Moon 50k will always have a special place with me, it was my first ultra. Its held during the peak of summer, so heat can be an issue. With the start time at 7pm, its not as bad as it could be. The race is an adventure!! Its put on by awesome people, the aid stations are full of cheerful folks that are there to help get you to the finish. Running thru the forest in the middle of the night was so much fun!! Will be back next year for sure.

The Hogeye is a great event, that I will continue to do every year. Its well ran, has a great expo and the new course is much better than the older one. My only complaint would be the lack of shuttles back to the finish. I ended up walking close to 3 miles after I had completed the race to get back to my car, if you've ever been to Fayetteville it isn't flat either. There were shuttles but there wasn't defined pick up areas and not near enough vans to fill the need. With all of that being said, its an awesome race. I may be picking a little bit, but thats what reviews are for right?!

Nothing beats running a race on the Oregon Coast. Beautiful scenery, great weather, and a flat course all make for a great time. Was well ran, and the aid stations were awesome. Wasn't crazy enough to take an oyster shot at one of the aid stations but maybe next time. I plan to make another trip, for another race.
