As a Law Enforcement Officer, this race touches my heart in a special way. The organizer's of this race do an amazing job organizing these races all over the country and the money always goes to the family of a local LEO that was killed in the line of duty.
The race starts with the National Anthem followed by a line of law enforcement vehicles with lights on driving towards the runners. Runners start the race by running under an American flag held up by two fire trucks. Although very hilly, the race is full of positive vibes and good people, encouraging you along the way!

This was a very small town 5k - probably only 100 people give or take. However, they still gave free t-shirts at registration and medals to the top three males/females in different age categories - the only time I ever won one of these.
It was on a trail which was nice because it ran along the Lehigh river. However, due to the size of the race there was no pre or post race expo - just some water, bananas, and the award ceremony. Overall a cute little 5K

This race offers so many options - 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathon or all three. I ran the 5K and it is a great run through historic Bethlehem, starting and ending at the ArtsQuest building at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem.
The expo was great - a lot of great products and demos. They made packet pick-up very easy also.

I ran the last leg of a relay team - what I liked most was the positive energy. Because I ran through the finish line, it was exciting seeing my team waiting there cheering me on along with other spectators and people that had finished.
However, the finish line was very crowded and they did not do a great job at moving people through the finish line once you got your medal and a lot of the after race tents where very close to the finish line. Also, the scenery on leg 5 was not the best - it goes through Easton and went under a weird bridge that curved above your head so getting a couple people through that part and one time was a little difficult.
in 2015, I volunteered as a course marshall - what a great experience tocheer on all the runners as they came through!
