This is one of my favorite events every year. The expo is filled with great vendors with a variety of running gear. The packet pick up is well organized and efficient.
Getting to the race start is accessible by several bus routes that are communicated well in the materials you receive in the packet.
Course is beautiful covering the shores of Lake Superior then winding through downtown Duluth and finishing up in Canal Park.
Post race perks include snacks, massage tent, free beer and concert.

Parking and packet pick up were a breeze. Due to this being a smaller event we didn't have to deal with crowds or parking congestion.
There was a self service drop bag area on the edge of the course. This was super convenient for those of us doing the 50k that needed to our snacks/gear after each loop.
Course was rolling hills through woods, gravel trail and prairie. Very scenic and calming.
Biggest downfall - this was our first trail 50k and although we finished in the middle of the pack, the vendors were packing up and leaving as we were finishing. Photo booth was even disassembled. I felt bad for the racers just starting their last lap as we finished our race.
