The Liberty Hospital Half Marathon and Norterre 5k was such a well organized Race. The care and attention to detail was so apparent during each step of the run (literally from registration- to expo- to run- to after party). It is clear that serious runners were playing a major role in the planning and execution of the race.
The course is an out and back and the mile markers were precisely on point, which never happens for me during a race. The dj and cheerleaders on the course were awesome! They kept their energy and enthusiasm during the entire run (even for the last to finish the half marathon).
The medals were gorgeous and super high quality. The shirts were super soft and cute.
There were so many amazing vendors and a great dj at the post race.
Such a great race!

2017 was my first year participating in Trek the Tower. The "race" is 40 floors (870 stairs) and you race up as fast as you can. The race directors would let runners start with 5 second intervals. I was thinking there would be mass amounts of congestion up the stairwell with over 1000 participants but there wasn't any congestion at all.
I also thought it would be terrible on my legs but honestly my only issue was my breathing. (I'm asthmatic). The air is thick and stale but if you can keep your breathing under control it's a great race.
The view from the top of the tower is impressive but you really only get a minute to enjoy it before being ushered to the elevator to go down and collect your participant shirt.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting a different kind of challenge.
This race has been my favorite for 2017.

I absolutely loved them Go Girl run in OKC. I traveled from Iowa and it was worth every minute of the 7 hour car drive with 4 small kids! ๐Ÿ˜€ The Expo was small but everything was great quality. I enjoyed the option of having shirts and other gear personalized immediately.
The race itself was wonderful albeit difficult. The Ultramax pace teams were the highlight of my day. They kept the energy upbeat and energetic and that's exactly what I needed!
The post race party was AMAZING!! I loved seeing hundreds of women all come together to support each other. This was a great experience and I would 100% recommend this race to any woman...no matter how slow or fast you go it will be fun!
