who doesn't love great food?? this has by far been the BEST post race event I have attended. The expo was easy to locate. it was also in a great area for sightseeing. Expo was easy to navigate. Great vendors. Nice shirts. Loved the softness of the race shirt. Parking at the garage near the expo was cheap. Expo was well marked with flood signs to help with navigation. Our race hotel did provide shuttle service to and from the race. 10k course followed the 5k runners and then it continued through a residential neighborhood and back. post race food was best. plenty of food options for meat lovers, vegetarians etc. smoothies, beer, water, sport drinks were available. kid friendly post race area as well.

who doesn't love great food?? nice options post race event. The expo was easy to locate and in walking distance from hotel (Hilton Garden Inn). hotel provided shuttle to and from race as well as expo. less than 5 mins walking to race start/ finish as well as expo. If you're looking for a hotel this is a nice one. Amtrak and Greyhound is also right at the corner up the street from hotel. Expo was easy to navigate. Great vendors. loved the BB king tribute for the medals and shirts. Parking for race and expo available right across the street. Expo was well marked with flood signs to help with navigation.

Cons:
the streets are terrible. please watch out for potholes. the 10k course didnt have many hills. but the half and marathon does.

Pros:
- nice expo.. So many great vendors with a lot of different products to check out and sample.

- Nice race shirt

- Abundant parking around downtown Memphis. parking garages and side streets.

- digital tracking for runners which is useful for family and friends.

- Pace groups are offered for the full and half marathons if you choose to run with them.

- Great race support all along the course with both the aid stations (almost every mile) and from the spectators. I saw so many great signs on the course.

- Race starts at Autozone park and ends inside. Nice jumbo tron that shows runners and they finish. Nice scenery along the course through downtown Memphis, midtown and cooper young area. See nice landmarks such as riverside, St.Jude hospital, Bass pro shop, Rhodes college and Memphis Zoo.

- The after party is amazing. beer, pizza, soup, doughnuts, sports drinks, water and other items are available.

- They have a kids' race and family run as well later that day. nice size medals for the children as well.

- Nice finisher's medal.

Cons:
weather can be iffy.

This is for a great cause. per the website the route is The flat, fast course is a combination of limestone and paved path. This was my first race I ever ran and the limestone was a bit brutal on my feet. Despite this, I did enjoy the race. The races starts at 8 so we were able to avoid the heat for a while. The trees in the park do provide a lot of shade. Water stops are available on the route. you loop in and out of the trail so you are alternating on the limestone and paved areas. The specific sex- cut shirts fit perfectly. No expo is available. some post race food and beverages. nice finisher medal and even lovelier award medals.Virtual Runner / Walker Participation is also available. you receive the shirt and medal. walk up registration on race day is available.

Pros:
- GREAT expo. great vendors with a lot of different products. There were also a great variety of samples and free items such as reusable ice packs, shoe lights, etc.

- Nice race zip hoodies. I also purchased the 2014 hoodie as well and was given free screen print. The graphic design was nicely done. I also received a 2nd zip hoodie from BGR.

- Great race support all along the course with both ample aid stations (almost every mile). So many spectators on the course as well at various points waving and cheering with signs and cowbells.

- Nice scenery in both Morrisville and Trenton.

- The after party is nice. anytime I receive chocolate milk I'm happy.

- Plenty of porta-potties at the start and on course.

- Nice finisher's medal..... if you are participating in one of the other race group partners, a 2nd medal is also awarded.

- Relatively flat course. there were two bridges but very doable.

-plenty of race photos on the course.

Cons:
the shuttle service after the race was horrible. Many of those I traveled from TN ended up walking back to the hotel due to slow shuttle service.

overall, great race and course. the weather was great for November at the start of the race. despite the rain towards the end, I would most definitely do this race again
