This was my first time running the Cinco de Miler, and I will definitely be coming back next year! You cannot beat the scenery: running down the lakefront path is always a sight to be seen. Because a storm had just rolled through, there was a lot of wind, which made the latter half of the race more difficult. Overall, the Cinco de Miler had a very fun atmosphere. Many people dressed up, and there was a mariachi band playing around mile four. The swag was great! I will definitely wear the technical tee when i go out on future runs.

This was my second 5K, and it was a great experience for a new runner! I loved running through the beautiful Ravenswood neighborhood, and it felt very low key and chill. There were lots of families running together, and I even saw a man running with his two dogs (wearing race shirts and bibs). The race had a very nice community feel, and the packet pickup was easy. I would highly recommend!
