This is a cute little small race to motivate people to stay in shape through winter. There is a race in December, January and February. You can sign up for all 3 or just 1. It is an out and back course with 1 aid station that you hit twice, it just has water but its only a 5k so i dont think a sports drink is necessary. The swag is a long sleeve t-shirt which is a nice change and the post race food is GREAT! They had einstien bagel breakfast sandwiches! I was really impressed with it.

This race was sort of a mess. I got there with about 30-40 minutes to spare and picked up my packet easy enough and was able to check my bag easy as well but then it fell apart. The line for the shuttles snaked around the entire parking lot. There were a few hundred people waiting in line. With 10minutes to the start i was still several shuttleloads away from getting to the start line. In fact when i was waiting in life for a shuttle the first 10k runners. They did try and make up for it by handing out snacks but that sucked to wait that long.

This was my first half marathon but i really loved the energy of the rock and roll run. They had bands at every mile and local cheer squads along the way. There were a lot of aid stations. I really enjoyed this run. I think was organized well and would love to run it again. They had gels as well as either water or sports drinks and bananas, they were very well equiped.
