This was actually my first half in 2014 and we came back in 2015. The race is well organized, has great NOLA pre/post race food, and the medal is super cute. I mean it has a chicken on it- how cool is that?!?! You run around some of the prettiest sites in BR with crowd support mainly being at the water stops. I have only one main con to this race and it is that traffic is still going on during the race. You are just a cone away from getting rolled over if you are not careful. Since you are near LSU campus it is kind of scary...I remember me in college! I will probably be back next yr and this will become my annual tradition race.
