This was my first race in double digits and it was a blast. I traveled to meet up with some friends for this race so the course was completely unexpected. The first couple miles weren't so bad, but then we entered Iroquois Park which was severe rolling hills for 3 miles. The scenery was just beautiful, however, which was a nice distraction from the challenge of the course. After the park the course was relatively flat. The finish is at the stadium which was another unexpected surprise. Runners go from running asphalt and concrete to running on grass which was nice and challenging at the same time.

Overall it was an amazing race and I would definitely travel to do it again. Thanks for having me, Louisville!

I ran this the first year it was put on, and it left much to be desired. It was freezing cold, the course I'm sure was great but I was so cold and worried about slipping that I couldn't really have fun, and then at the end the lines for the shuttle were so long that my friend and I went to a bar instead and called a friend to pick us up! The bib was AWESOME and the medal was great. But for the price I won't be back.
