Part of the Yukanrun series, this race takes place in Ipswich, MA, which turns out to be pretty hilly. It goes along the water, past wetlands, and ocean. This is a very historic and beautiful town, preserved in time. I loved this race even though it isn't a race to get a PR in. Yukanrun always is well-stocked in their aid stations, water, gatorade and gels at most of the stops (every 2 miles or so?).

I thought the medal was cool, there was mustache on it. I also thought it was cool that they provided mustache stickers in the swag bag.

The shirts are ok, they are identical to the rest of the Yukanrun shirts -- neon green.

Overall a great race, a small group, but a fun and beautiful race!

I ran the Half and this was only the second year for that distance. EXCELLENT race. I would highly recommend. Aside from the fact that it was about 29 degrees when the race started, the food, medal, volunteers and course made up for that rather quickly.

Food selection: excellent-- soup, cookies, watermelon, bagels, bananas and more

Aid Stations: every two miles, I believe, either way I am a slow runner and nothing ran out by the time I got to each station.

Course scenery: very woodsy, very calm and pleasant, not too many cars

Race Management: not overwhelmed with emails, very explicit instructions

Parking was ok: my dad dropped me off at the start and then made his way over to the finished and seemed to find parking relatively near by.

Shirt: long sleeve tech, seemed to be made of cheap material. Either it shrunk or was very short in the arms and body length to begin with.

Elevation was fine, I got a PR.

The James Joyce Ramble is going into it's 32nd year in 2016. It always takes place the Sunday after the Boston Marathon so many runners stick around to run this race which is a USATF Master Championship race. It does have slight elevation throughout and a mini heartbreak hill when you get to the Nobles and Greenough School. I love this race not only because it goes in front of my house but also because it takes you through the nicer and more historic parts of Dedham, MA. The runners, volunteers, and spectators are always friendly and helpful. Even residents who live on the route provide water and sprinklers.

Along the route are actors reading passages from James Joyce's novels. It is interesting and entertaining and unique from other races.

Overall, I love this race, it will be my 5th year running in 2016.
