3 years ago this was the first race i ever ran, As such I have ran it every year since and will continue to. It benefits the Humane society a charity I care about very much (plus you get to run with dogs). Last year (2015) and this year I actually placed in my age group always a nice bonus. It is all and all a good family race and one of my favorites even if it is over an hr away.

Could have used more variation at aid stations. Also the course designer is a masochist for having two huge bridges to end the race. Having it at the same time as a crab festival and not mentioning that was a bad move in my opinion. People complained about last year but overall for this being my first half I enjoyed the experience.... Except the toenail I will be losing.

This is a beautiful race on the beach, some trail some road a whole lot of fun. I did ok at the race it is Florida and it is always warm, but the scenery cannot be beat. Parking can be a pain for the spectators but all in all I recommend it. In fact I'm doing it again this Saturday morning. I'm happy with the aid stations and the volunteers are top notch.
