What a cool concept for a run! The Double Five has three events rolled into one. The course is along the Willamette River in beautiful Lake Oswego. You can do the 5k, or the 5 Miler or the Double Five Challenge which offers a unique opportunity to have 3 PR's for 3 different distances, all in one day. Run 5 miles (1st PR) followed by the 5k (2nd PR) back to back for a total of 8.1 miles (3rd PR). How cool is that?
The course was well managed, the aid stations, lots of volunteers and there was plenty in the way of stuff at the finish line. Do the Double Five!

Man did it rain and the wind blew but this was still a fun event. Very intimate and low key. This was a first year event but it was well attended and went really smooth despite the nasty weather.
The course was mainly on the Rock Creek Trail which is paved and peaceful. Well marked, lots of volunteers and the finish line festivities included awards and raffle.
