I ran this race as part of the Hat Trick. I love this race series. I feel like it is completely tailored to runners and made so they can get the most enjoyment out of it.
We picked up our packets on Friday. This was an in and out trip. I had no problems parking and the whole process took less than 30 minutes.
The expo is nice although I always think it's a little cramped. It's just not a very large space.
Parking for the half was easy. We paid but the location was convenient. Plenty of Porta potties at the start. No crazy lines. Corrals are clearly marked by pacers. There is no assigned corrals but it's a smaller race. Aid stations were a plenty. Porta potties were easy to find along the course. The course itself is challenging but I was expecting it. Plenty of crowd support and lots of places for spectators to watch.
Swag for this race is awesome. Tech shirt, hat and socks for Hat Trick finishers. Loved all of it. Also love the medals. The half medal is also a beer opener.
Love the involvement of runners world staff in this race. David Wiley started in the rear and engaged in conversation with many runners as he made his way along the course.
I definitely recommend this race to others!
