I love so many parts of the crim, and it's definitely one of the largest fields compared to many of the races I've done. You are pretty packed in for the first three or so miles, but this is much improved since they began using waves. Make sure to sign up in the correct wave for your expected finish time. It is certainly a challenging course, with some fun hills, but the tremendous community support means there is never a dull moment along the route.

I tried to get behind the Warrior Dash experience but I think I am just too practical and safety-conscious. First off, important to note that there is a $10 fee for parking, on top of what is arguably a pretty hefty entry fee. The course becomes more dangerous as the day goes on, so if you're considering it, I'd try for one of the early morning time slots. Overall drunk people running over obstacles is not my idea of a good time.

I loved this race and would do it again in a heartbeat. The elevation change makes it very tough but the scenery is gorgeous and almost makes you forget you're running. Due to the rough terrain, there are very few aid stations, so it's important to come prepared with everything you might need. North Face does an excellent job with their swag and communication. I highly recommend any event put on as part of the endurance series.
