First thing to note is they have an INSANE amount of aid stations for a 9.3 mile course! Great energy, lots of cheering supporters! It's a pretty crowded field, so finding family after the race was challenging. The course starts out with some hills, but makes up with some big downhills from the halfway point on. The after-race party was way too crowded for my taste, but it was a great race and I was happy to add it to my bucket list.

One downside: you have to pay for the shirt and a finisher medal.

Ran this as my first marathon. Overall, had a great time and the race and expo was well organized. It's a flat course, and there was great support from the local community. The aid stations were well equipped and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was the swap. Other than a race shirt, not many giveaways at the expo. Not much new gear or interesting vendors at the expo.

They had shuttles to and from the expo and race day that made it stress free to book a local hotel (I'm from out of town) and not have to worry about parking.

Race course was nice but not exactly the most scenic run. The race course passed through a few parks and crossed the Willamette river a few times. The race is mostly asphalt and the last 10 or so miles is on concrete bike paths. However, finishing inside a track stadium more than made up for the lack of scenery!

I ran this in 2016 as my first marathon. Had a great time, everything was very well organized, from the expo to the finish line. Aid stations were fully manned.

One thing to say about the course is it was not as scenic as I hoped it would be. The surrounding area is gorgeous, but the course route sticks to the city heavily. There are plenty of parks to run through, but overall I was slightly disappointed with the overall scenery. Still a great race!

Ran this as a training race. It is a flat course except for the part that goes over and back across the Marco Island bridge. Not a big crowd, easy parking at a nearby Publix. The entire course is not closed to traffic, but the traffic is light.

In the race I ran in 2016, there was no official timing due to lightening strikes nearby.

Ran this for the second year in a row as part of the Amber challenge. A great race, very well organized. Good crowd and a lot of cheering spectators. Plenty of porta potties on site and great race volunteers.

The pacers at this event are always amzing. Some races are hot or miss, but this one consistently has some of the friendliest and well trained pacers of almost any event I've been a participant.
