We did the the FroYo scottsdale 5K (5/30/15) and here is my experience broken down.
Parking- There was plenty of parking for the event actually and it was not far at all from the venue
Swag- While the sunglasses were cool! no pun intended here! I still wish you would get a shirt as well cuz shirts are just fun to wear around and run in on you own. The shoestring bag was kind of cool little flimsy but it worked well to hold all my monsters from the event! So all in all the glasses were the best part :)
Medal- Now I noticed allot of people were little concerned that the actual medals were allot smaller than anticipated. Now I didn't mind them, could they have been a bit bigger? eh maybe..
Expo/FroYo- The expo overall was pretty lame sad to say! Not allot of venders or cool stuff like you find at normal races of a little bit bigger caliber. I mean even some of the smaller races had more venders and cool fun stuff to do. Now lets talk about the best part! THE FROYO!!!! Need I say more than YUMMMMM!!!! The fact that you get 4/5 flavors and toppings to choose from? WINNER WINNER WNNER!!! The perfect treat for the hot afternoon it turned out to be!
Aid stations/Elevation difficulty- Now the aid station and FROZONES were kind of a little mess and the FroZones did absolutely nothing sadly (most of them didn't even spray!) and it was HOT due to the event not being able to start right away and the overall start time was around peak AZ heat time :/ The elevation was alright for most of the run, however there were a few hills and slopes that made it kind of difficult to keep a good pace as it was way harder to go up a good size hill in 90+ heat..
Scenery/Management- The overall scenery wasn't bad for the course. Just the basic park, apartment complex, and mostly street run. Now the management was amazing! The RD was super nice and fun to talk to and get information from about ANYTHING!
Overall- I had a good time even though it was really hot and the expo wasn't the best the customized just the way you like it FroYo made up for all that by far! But next time can we get MORE FROYO??!! Could help but down mine like a ravage animal cuz it was DELICIOUS!!
