1st Place put on a great race. Over 1900 runners made for a fun start to the 4th. I loved seeing runners decked out in Red, White and Blue. I have run this course weekly for a while so I was pretty familiar with it. It is a giant loop so not great fro spectating if you want to see finish but great finish line atmosphere with contests for watermelon eating and lots of vendors. Overall one of my favorite races this year.

If you love to watch elite runners, this race give you the chance because they have the Nike Championships prior to the general 5k. I love see elite runners and getting pumped before a race. For me the course was hot, but this is my first summer running in Florida and all races from April to Sept will be steamy. As always 1st Place puts on a great race. Only issue was the general 5k course ended up being different then what was posted online. Luckily some told my husband prior otherwise he never would have seen me. Great race, I will be back.

This race was tough due to heat. Many people struggling. When you have a race that some many couch to 5K people do, I would like to see more aid stations. Otherwise great race with cannon start and salute to Military.

This is a great family run, but dont plan on PRing. Tons of walkers and really just a fun time. My only issue was they promised preregistered participants a cupcake medal. Due to large amount of late entrants they ran out of them, prior to my 3 yr old completing the 1 mile. Very hard to explain to a 3 yr old why she got a plain circle medal vs a cupcake one. I let her have mine since I did the 5k, but I would try to make sure all kids got the best medal vs the adults.
