First year running the full. Weather was great and aid stations plentiful. The full breaks off from the half very early so the course is crowded for just a few miles. There are no huge elevation gains but the entire thing is slightly uphill the entire way and you do start to feel it towards the end. I did manage a 25 minute PR. This race does cater to the half marathon distance so do not expect much food and drink left after the marathon.

I wanted the 25K but it was sold out. This race sells out very fast for all distances so get in fast. There are several water crossings and one is deep if you enter at the wrong place. I was not to impressed with the scenery but several people have told me the 25 and 50K are much better. I volunteered at an aid station the next day during the 25/50K and those were some worn out people. Looking forward to the 50K next year.

My second year running this race. It is such a great cause and the after race giveaways are out of this world. They added finisher medals this year. Crowd support is not that great but the race is very well managed.

"Best Half Marathon Course I have run"

The race was 30 minutes late starting but this was due to a problem with one of the shuttle buses not bad planning. So far this is the best Half Marathon course that I have run. It's run on the streets and park trails. Nothing technical but it's nice that your feet get a break from the pavement. This is not a flat course but nothing crazy. Just enough to make it interesting. I did manage to PR on this course. Aid stations were plentiful but only had water and PowerAid. If you need nutrition bring your own. Crowd support was really good for a race of this size I was surprised. The finishers medal is really top notch, think that is where they spent most of the money.
The only complaints that I have is the shirt is not technical, it's a very very cheap cotton. Not a big deal, but for the cost of the race I expected better. The other one is at the finish line post race food required you to stand in a long line. It would have been nice to have some bananas or something light right there.
Overall great time and will run this again next year.

This race is part of the weekend long Singletrack Mind festival held at the Two Rivers Mountain Bike Park in Highlandville, MO. Basically, run as many miles as you can in 3 hours on some moderately technical trails. Cool gnome awards for the overall male and female winners, award for dirtiest runner and best blood. Great aid stations and awesome people to run with. Be sure you have a hydration pack or bottle as this is a NO cup event. Very low key. Pitch a tent and enjoy the weekend.
