This run was challenging, inspiring and overall well organized. How can such a race be organized with thousands of people? Being placed in those corrals at the start was a bit claustrophobic for me but they tried to make announcements and inspirational messages quickly.

The combination of blaring sunshine and shady path was nice as temps were upper 80s.
Gradual hills made life interesting.
Seeing groups run the water/Gatorade tables always makes me happy because these 'kids' often have never seen a race up close.
Well marked course!
Seeing skyline of Chicago, museums, Shedd Aquarium, lake front.....Awesome!
The 4% of men running the race were overall humble and wonderful - but the 3 lead men had to kick it into high gear and earn first, second place and third place therefore beating the rest of the 4,000 girls?
