The Bucktown 5K is a standout among the signature Chicago-area races. Unlike most races in the windy city, Bucktown does not follow the popular lakefront path but rather takes runners through quiet neighborhood roads lined with cute houses and past enthusiastically cheering spectators. Logistics are simplified as packet pickup is held at multiple dates and locations throughout the city and the unique, Chicago-themed swag was described by more than one runner as “legit.” Who can pass up awesome doughnuts inspired by the Chicago flag?!
