This race stays true to its namesake - if you love Bourbon, this is the race for you! The Urban Bourbon Half Marathon presented by Jim Beam® embraces its theme all weekend long. Those visiting from out-of-town will enjoy free bourbon distillery tours offered up to race participants (along with bourbon tasting at the expo!). The race starts and finishes on Whiskey Row, so you can soak it all in. And, when you cross the finish line you are awarded with a wax-dipped bourbon bottle medal!

Oh - and in case we forgot - once the race is over the fun has just begun. The post race “bourbon bash” has been called by runners “unlike anything you’ve seen!” A live band keeps the party going, along with pizza, local Kentucky fare, and - you guessed it - MORE bourbon!

From pre-race runner communications/updates to bib pick-up and expo logistics, everything about this race runs seamlessly. And, while it’s been heralded for its post-race party, the Fall scenery through one of Louisville’s oldest parks makes the non-bourbon part of this race just as worthwhile.
