J&A Racing is top notch. Incredible volunteers and expo was a breeze. Course is beautiful - going thru Camp Pendleton and seeing the Army Troops is unforgettable. The boardwalk is gorgeous and going thru the North End is amazing because so many people come out to cheer on and support. Shore Drive is beautiful and peaceful. Fort Story is a little desolate, but some troops were around and you can see the Cape Henry Lighthouse. Plenty of gels/water/gatorade are on the course - there were 16 aid stations. At mile 21 there were pretzels/bananas/jelly beans too. Fantastic energy. Swag included a long sleeve technical shirt, hat, HUGE medal and a beach towel. At the finish they have Gatorade replenishment drink, water, granola bars, bananas, cookies, beef stew and everyone gets 4 Yuenglings - plus you get to enjoy the bands and beach!. Definitely do this race!
