Dane D's thoughts:

This was my first timed race and longest distance at the time. It was a chilly morning and rain lingered. Checking in and receiving the bib and a nice water bottle was a breeze and we'll organized.

As the race began we started out with a steady climb up a hill, one of 3 hills of the course. There were folks along the way to point out where to head next. There was one water station along the course that was passed twice.

After the race there was a nice spread of water, bananas, apples, cookies, donuts, etc. There was a local chiropractor there offering free assessments and massage. A couple of nutrition vendors with samples. The race medals were awarded in a nice ceremony.

Overall, it was a fun day and the people were great. I'd recommend this race for anyone who wants to join in for a good community racing get together.
