This was a great trail race! The course is a 6.2 mile loop with options of doing a 10k, 20k, or 30k. I chose the 30k. It was my first time doing this distance on a trail race. The first two miles of the loop are flat and easy terrain. When you reach the 3rd mile you ascend a set of 225 stairs straight up! You then make your way down the backside of the hill on a more technical trail. At almost mile 4 you reach Cardiac Hill...it's a doozie!!! Most people walked this hill. But once you reach the top you are ready to run and stretch those muscles out. Some ups and downs throughout the next couple of miles. But the last mile is either downhill or flat. A fun race with three water stops in the 6 mile loop.

My race swag was a very nice technical long sleeve shirt, a mug, and a belt buckle! The post-race party was nice with a live band, pulled pork, and beer!!
