This was my first time participating in any sort of Color Run. I absolutely LOVED it. My friend asked if I'd join her since I love running - I had no idea how much fun I was in for! First of all, the people that participate in the Color Run must literally be the all the happiest people in the planet (they do call it the Happiest 5K, after all). You get there and just immediately feel a surge of joy and happiness seeing everyone as happy and colorful as they could possibly be. It's as if everyone who does the color run waits ALL year for this very moment.
The run was very well organized and planned - packet pickup was easy and close by and came with everything you need (bib #, pins). The swag consisted of a T-shirt, sweatband, and temporary tattoos (no medal at the end, which is the only reason for one star off for "Swag").
The color stations were truly fun! The volunteers were great, friendly, helpful and HAPPY! The best part was the post-race party by the stage where everyone got more color packets and threw them in the air after a countdown - I'm talking color EVERYWHERE! It's so so much more fun that you'd even expect. The post-run party is what will have me participating in the 5K again. So fun!
