Guy Collins's thoughts:

I have created a running website named www.askrunguy.com based on having run over 100 half marathons, including all fifty US states and several other countries; and several full marathons, with a goal of running all six World Major marathons. Below is a template for comments for my rating each race:

Race: St. George marathon 2019 St. George, UT
Race Type / Terrain (road, trail): paved roads through large hills and canyons, ending in St. George
Organization (Expo, volunteers, start / finish): Excellent! Great expo, top notch organization
Support (fans, music on course): A little support during first part of race, more support toward the end
Course Scenery: Excellent, beautiful breathtaking scenery throughout the race
Course Difficulty: Net significant elevation drop (-2,500 feet over last 12 miles). Some early uphills miles 6-11. Overall challenge on legs, but good course for PR / BQ.
Weather / Temperature: Pretty cold and windy at top / start; can be warmer in town at end of course. Awesome campfires to keep you warm before start of the race.
Course location recreation (sights, things to do): Beautiful area, close to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park.
Logistics (Getting to the race site): they have a small airport, but is also only a 2 hour drive from Las Vegas
Swag (medal, t-shirt, other items for finishers): Very nice medal; the 2019 t-shirt was horribly ugly. Instant recycle.
Food and drink (on course and after finish): Good nutrition on the course, and excellent food and volunteers after the race. The pasta feed the night before was nice, too.

I provide running and racing resources for all levels of runners at www.askrunguy.com. I also share information that I believe is interesting and helpful to the running community. I encourage you to visit www.askrunguy.com
