I am a disabled athlete looking to run their first 100 mile ultra. Silver Moon Race was incredible. Their race is $180. The virtual option is $60 ($2.50 processing fee). They give you a medal, a belt buckle, and a towel. You can purchase a shirt for $28 dollars. During COVID 19 Silver Moon is giving runners the opportunity to achieve their goals. I was given 30 hours to run 100 miles. After you finished your race you submitted your time.
I set up my home as my base. The first 2 hours I ran on my own. The next 25 hours 38 minutes and 30 seconds I was running with other people. I had 15 friends sign up at different times to run with me. 4 people came out and ran with me. Some of the 19 people I never ran with nor knew before this race. It gave me and the running community a reason to believe again. Believe in humanity and the the human spirit.
This race was larger than myself. It became our 100 mile ultra. Now whenever we run around town everyone is still talking about this 100 mile ultra.
