Good: An overcast morning. Great weather, but wished for a tailwind or two along Mission Bay. The neighborhoods came alive and cheered us on. They had beer, fruit, frozen pops, signs and high fives.

Bad: Plastic cups at aid stations. A few had paper, but for a machine like "Rock 'n' Roll", they could've done better. This course is full on hills...rolling, false, and gradual, you'll see and feel them! They'll prepare you for mile 19.4.

Ugly: Running up Hwy 163 for 2.4 miles and looping 10th Ave to University. From 10th to Park Ave is one long incline. If that wasn’t enough, they threw more hills until Mile 25.5. They made us work for our medal!

At the expo, I took advantage of their discount and registered for RNRSD 2016. During tough spots, I'd ask myself, "Am I really coming back to this?" Yes I am. I love hills and a good challenge. Join me!
