Deborah Brooks's thoughts:

This was my first time visiting New Orleans and it's a great city to run and have a racecation in. Lots to see and do and so much food (and alcohol if that's your thing). The expo was a bit underwhelming compared to the other 2 RnR expos I've been to. I like the race t shirt but that was the only swag for such an expensive race.
We stayed very close to the start which I highly recommend since this race starts at 7:30. Plenty of port o potties at the start w no line. Race started about 20 min late w no explanation. First half of the race is an out and back so it's nice to see other runners on the course. Pancake flat course. Not as much music as I remember at other RnR races. Ample water/gatorade stops. Course was kind of boring for such fun city. Finish line was well managed and well stocked w food and drink even for slower runners towards the back. Medal is nice but no my fave RnR medal. Overall, glad I did it for the experience but not my favorite race
