RNR races are BIG RACES with large crowds! I prefer smaller races so that definitely influences my opinions here!
PROS: The race is well organized and well marked. There are multiple opportunities for friends/family who are cheering you on to see you along the course. The tshirts and medal are nice! The post-race area offered a ton of free food/drink options!
CONS: Some areas along residential streets (specifically in the Belmont area) were SO incredibly crowded - too many runners, bicycle/motorcycle police officers riding the course and tight aid stations. If I could have skipped the area connecting runners from Belmont Blvd to 12th Ave I would have! It was frustrating! Though the race encourages runners to line up in corrals SO MANY PEOPLE IGNORE THAT and line up where ever they want to. I spent the bulk of the race dodging walkers who had no business lining up at the start of the waves.
