Tim Hacker's thoughts:
The weather was perfect as well as the course. A few hills, which I realized only after seeing my heart rate climb and my pace slow. The course aid stations were very well stocked.
I like how they transported your drop bag to the finish.
I used the half-marathon to prepare for the Lost Dutchman full marathon the following month in Apache Junction. I ran the course Sunday in a time of 2:15:47, which I am pretty proud of. I was able to keep a good pace and ran the whole time. Nutrition was pretty good. If I could hold this pace for the full marathon I would be very happy, but I know this won't happen.
