Lying just east of the front range of the Rocky Mountains and Longs Peak. When the race starts you see the mountains in the distance and the sun is rising and it's a beautiful morning. This is a point to point to point half and unfolds almost all downhill with a few rolling hills in the early miles. You run through Flanders and McIntosh Park. Lot's of nature & fresh air as most of this race is on paved trail. If your coming from a low elevation area, I recommend getting out a few days early to get used to the higher elevation. I highly recommend this race!
