This half marathon will go down in my history book as the half marathon with the hardest hill! It was about 8 miles in and about 1.5 miles long! The worst part about it is that the entire hill is in the blazing sun and there were no water stations!!!!

Prior to this hill there are rolling hills too, but they resides in the shade and were surrounded by water stations.

The will was a welcoming challenge though and one I hope to be more prepared for next year. My biggest dislike with this race was the fact that the medals were placed in your bag at packet pickup. Part of my favorite experience of running these longer races is in fact crossing the finish line and getting your medal placed around your neck. But you didn’t get that at this race. Hopefully this changes by next year.
