Earl 's thoughts:

The Paumanok is a 70k Race that you can conquer as part of a relays team or solo. A great group comes out for this event. All die hard runners. Teams can be made up of 2-5 members each running legs of 6.5 to 10.5 miles. Lots of runners choose to run it solo.
The terrain is pine barren trails with not too much elevation except for leg 3. Aid stations are located at each transition area. The course is adequately marked and scenic. It's point to point so you cover much of eastern Long Island.
The organizer had great photos and video on the Facebook page leading into the race and tons of photos afterwards. He handmade all of the wooden finisher medals and the trophies were all handmade as well. Great time on the trails, great day all around.
