this is a great local trail race in the suburbs of NYC (easy access from nyc) that is well run (hehehe) scenic, challenging, has well marked trails, is fun and historic. They have great swag (tech shirts, cool medals, and a good post race experience. I run and been a volunteer at this race, everyone is friendly, you get that local feel mixed with the professionally run.
