Sarah Booth's thoughts:

The OKCMM race is held every year to "run to remember" the 168 adults and children that were killed during the Murrah building bombing in 1995. The entire community comes together to post pictures, memorabilia and stories of the fallen in the weeks leading up to the race. This race is well organized and plenty of crowd support along the route. Starting at the OKC Memorial, a 168-second moment of silence occurs before the National Anthem and start. Participants will run through downtown OKC, historic OKC, the Capital Building, up to Lake Hefner area, and finish around the Botanical Garden park area. At "Gorilla Hill" you will find people lining the streets with bananas and gorilla costumes. Afterward, stay around for a beer and party in the park!
