It's so sad to see what has become of one of my favorite races.

2021 was a hot mess. The race sent out email warning everyone to dress for rain on race day (but then had everyone standing in it, for over an hour, without shelter for a very late start) and to pack dry clothes for after the race (but then didn't provide anywhere to change clothes). The advertised "3.5 hour course time limit" was not measured from the last runner to start, but from the published start time--and the race started up to an hour late due to some problems with the shuttles.

The volunteers were great. The wines were nice but the wine tasting area was poorly arranged. For $195 I expect MUCH more from the race, including an on-time start, a place to change, and an accurately published course time limit.

There are multiple other runs through California wine country that offer a better experience for less money. I can no longer recommend this race.
