I originally registered for M2B marathon to give me a BQ. With a recent injury, I dropped down to the Half. My brother came along and did the 5k (won 2nd Overall, BTW).

I had heard the course was "wonderful' and scenic. Not really. I found myself staring at a chain link fence for a great deal of the time. While the course was not bad by any stretch of the imagination, it wasn't all that great. It was not what it was cracked up to be.

With that, the management does a great job in managing this race, I give them big thumbs up for their professionalism. Not sure why they give out "one size fits" all cotton tshirts to the overall winners? That was a disappointment, to say the least.

I wouldn't recommend the race as I feel there are other races in the area I enjoyed the course more and had a better chance at a PR. I know some enjoyed the race, but I did meet a number of people who felt the same as I did. Lots of hype for this race.

For the price, it's a fair race, but if you are traveling, I would put your money into another race. Sorry, that's just me. I like the race so little, I didn't even keep the pictures.
