I arrived in plenty of time for the race and parked at McKinney High School. The race is only a fun run and a 5K so not a huge crowd. We started a little late as there was an accident on 75 and so management delayed the race about 15 minutes to give some affected by the traffic a chance to join the race.
SWAG included a t-shirt, a Run Project temporary tattoo, and a pair of sunglasses. The sunglasses were way to big for me to wear. At the end of the race I was awarded a finishers medal with a watermelon design.
The course itself was through a park and a neighborhood with beg houses that appeared to date back to the 50's. A very pretty neighborhood. There actually some hills to deal with on this course, but nothing too difficult.
I ran with my 13 year old daughter and she had a difficult time so she just wanted to leave soon after we were done. That being the case I did not experience the expo or get some of the watermelon that is supposed to be available in copious amounts, but as we left it did appear to a good expo.
Overall a good race.
