This was my second time running the Mason State Bank 5k. I decided to do the race again based on the wonderful experience I had last year running it.

The race is on the smaller side. Don't let that discourage you though. Just because it's small, doesn't mean it's not well run. The race management does a great job putting things together. The course was closed off, where runners don't have to worry about vehicles getting in the way. There were enough race volunteers and police to help guide runners where to go. The course is flat for the most of the race, with a small hill right before the finish. As a bonus, there were free massages given to runners as part of the Lansing Community College massage therapy program

Highly recommend this race to other runners.
