This is the first time this race has taken place in Orlando. It was a beautiful morning, and the atmosphere was definitely right for Parrot Heads. A number of folks dressed up for the fun.

The race began at 9am, which was a bit late for me. It's too hot in Florida this time of year, so hopefully, they will change the race and start earlier in 2023. Otherwise, the race was a fun time. Things started off with some dancing fun, and a best dressed costume contest.

Then, the race kicked off in 3 waves. I walked this one due to recovering from covid and taking a fall that morning in the parking lot. Enjoyed the Jimmy Buffett music they had in some parts of the route.

The post-race mini margaritas were great, and they had beer for everyone over 21. Also, they had some vendors in the post-runners area.

Overall, this race was good. I liked the theme a lot. Might be fun to dress up a bit in the future and just do this one for fun, and not worry about your finishing time. Definitely a family-friendly event.
