I did this race in 2017 too. A friend was finishing her 50 state challenge and when I found out it was this race, I didn't hesitate to come back! Even the Half medals are quite large, although not the dinner plate size ones for the full marathon. They always have a fun theme every year - which always leads to fun costumes! It was cold and we had rain, but hey....it is March. It will always be a gamble and you should be prepared for anything! Typical tech shirt. I always get the mens or unisex shirt and it ran true to size or a bit large - which I'm happy with! Excellent expo. I recommend the VIP perks. Chicken noodle soup and coffee hit the spot after the cold/rainy race! I don't find the Elevation particularly difficult, but I come from the hills of Northeast Ohio....so maybe you would if you are more used to a flat course. There was one bridge this time. You went over it out and then looped around and came back. Bridge = hill. I had a cheat with parking/access as I stayed downtown at the Marriott (highly recommended too), but last time we stayed by the airport and did fine with taking Uber to the race. This is a VERY well run race and I highly recommend it! You'll have a great time!
