This year, I ran the Jingle Bell 10k for my friend's daughter, Charlotte, who has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The Jingle Bell 10k was held at Peggy Noetabart Nature Museum at Diversey Harbor. Packet pickup was not done by me (thankfully) as the only location was at Roadrunner Sport on Clybourn from 4-7 on two days before the race or at the race. Not too convenient. The race itself made up for that. The race is to raise money for research for arthritis and try to find a cure. The race was small that morning for the 10k. There were a great deal of others out for the 5k and the walk, which was great! The course was a simple 3 out (up to Montrose and around Cricket Hill) and back. Being a warmer December day, I would have liked to have one more aid station (hard to judge the need in December) on course. Overall, I was extremely happy as I placed 3rd in my age group!! My first placement in a top 3 ever!! I def would recommend this race as it was small and for a great cause.
