I've done the Rock n Roll Chicago a number of times. I skipped out on 2015 given the pricing. The course is flat (after all it is Chicago). This race is guaranteed to be warm. Be prepared to run in the humidity. There are always plenty of water stations and they've even had sprinklers to keep runners warm. The course runs through the loop so the scenery isn't great. In 2014, the entertainment on the course was lacking. Very disappointing for a Rock n Roll.

Overall, I think it is a great experience for those who live outside Chicago, or if you have a Tour Pass. I don't think it is worth the $$ if you've done it before and are doing solo registration.
