Bryan Galgano's thoughts:

I have run 3 RnR Half Marathons in the past (San Jose, Savannah and Nashville) and loved them all. The organization, fan support, course and medals were all awesome!!! Chicago was distinctly different from the past 3. I loved the course and the rain dampened the fan support obviously, but it was a fun race. However, the problem comes in with the race management. I love the RnR Series because of the medals. The medals are one of their major marketing strategies. Runners pay a premium for RnR races for this reason. I was excited to be completing my first remix challenge, runners who run on both days receive a third medal. However, even though they gave each remix runner an arm band to wear Sunday as proof of completion, they ran out of medals. They ran out for many runners. Minor issues like their shirts are exactly the same from city to city just the color changes, and many of the things I enjoyed purchasing in the past have been cut from the expo are amplified when the Race Series that says "Run For The Bling" runs out of bling. After race weekend when I emailed RnR as I was told to do by staff about receiving my remix medal in the mail, customer service was unresponsive and when they responded unhelpful. Sad to see from a race series I have loved for years.
