Virjinia Harp's thoughts:

This was a great way to kick off the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Rodeo season is a major event here in Houston and why not start it off with a race? The cost of the event was very reasonable. I truly enjoyed the course because it ran along Allen Parkway. The race start took place near City Hall and if you finished the race early enough, you could stick around for the parade!

All runner received a technical running shirt. It was made of great material and was very breathable. After the race, all finishers were welcomed to Buffalo Bayou Park where plenty of goodies were available from vendors. This year, you were given a bag and could walk from tent to tent to receive snacks, fruit, ice cream, and drinks! There were also post run massages and games for the young ones!
