Race day was BEAUTIFUL and I was so excited to run with Lindsey. She made this one of my favorite race days ever.
The aid stations were awesome, they were stocked with both water and sports drinks and as ALWAYS, Kansas City is so welcoming to runners. The hills did not disappoint. They were challenging but completely manageable and we had a blast, chatting and running.
After we got our medals, cool towels, and snacks, we headed over to the pancake stations! Seriously finishing a race with pancakes, whipped cream, and strawberries! It was awesome, my hubby snagged that post race beer and hot dogs as his payment for being the best photographer ever.
Him and I spent the rest of the day playing in Kansas City and just enjoying the party! We will be heading back to this race for sure! I would suggest it for anyone wanting a fun race, that is well run!
