This was my first half marathon, so I don't have much to compare it to. But according to many conversations with experienced runners, this was a sub-par experience.
Sign up and packet pickup: Simple and as described, but the only SWAG received was a t-shirt and granola bar. Womp womp.
Aid stations: Water at aid stations was warm, and they ran out of water at the last two aid stations. No Gatorade or iced sponges were offered.
Volunteers: Many of the volunteers were uninterested teenagers, not paying attention to runners needing direction, and many of them were missing on the second loop.
Finish Line: No one read the "special statement" they requested during registration. Water received at the finish line was warm. The blow-up palm trees/finish line itself was taken down prior to the 3-hour mark, even though it was previously explained that there was no time limit on this race.
Post-race: There was one very small tent for shade, and no fans in sight. Also, no food to be found.
It's been 5 days since the race and I have not seen any of the free pictures they promised or been contacted and asked for a review.
