Small, well organized local race with a fast and flat course! The Active Joe always hosts wonderful races, and the first annual Half de Paris was just that.

They offer morning of bib pickup for all races, and it took less than 5 minutes to grab my bib and shirt. The soft, long sleeve shirt has been one of my favorites.

The race begins in the Paris, Tx town square, and there are several parking lots all within 1-2 blocks of the start line. There were no restrooms on site, but other than that it was so easy to show up and run!

The course goes through town, down a paved trail, past the "Eiffel Tower" and loops through town to complete a one loop half marathon. The local school kiddos made dozens of encouraging posters and hung them along the route. That was a fun surprise!

The course is flat with some scattered cheering sections. Water/Gatorade aid stations are every two or so miles. The finish line provides water and fruit.

This was a great local race that is well planned and convenient!
